Our first week

Although technically it isn't the complete first week, it's close enough.

I didn't post much about anything, but it's a slow day!

Labor and delivery...
Well, I went in at about 5:30 Thurs. morning and Adam and I watched a movie until the nurses hooked me up to IV and all that fun stuff. They started the Pitocin at 7:30, but I was already contracting so I didn't notice much a difference. My doctor came in about 8:00 and broke my water. At 9:30ish I received my epidural and took little naps. 11:30 the nurses came in to help me change positions. I was feeling some pressure, but it still wasn't bad. After switching me around for a few minutes (they couldn't get Keiler's vital signs in some of the positions) one of them checked me and I was dialated to an 8! My doctor came back in at 12ish and said I was ready! So by the time they got me positioned and ready it was probably 12:30 or so. Then Keiler arrived at 1:10 healthy and beautiful.

Week one...
So far this week has been pretty good. My grandmother and sister, Heather have been here helping with Cameron and Keiler. Last night was probably the worst because Cameron has been sick and didn't go to bed until 5 am! I was so ready to cry, but fortunately Adam was off today and let me sleep until about 10. Poor Cam, he's all snotty and coughing a ton. He seems much better today though. Keiler just mostly sleeps a lot. He's not easily scared by anything and Cameron seems to like him. I think it would be better if he were well. Cam wants to touch and hold his "Baby Keiler." The second morning home Cameron came into our room and hopped up on the couch and peeked into the playpen and said, "Cameron baby Keiler." It was so sweet! He has also been using complete sentences. "I see you nasty." He was talking about a wipe warmer pad that hadn't been washed yet. "I don't want to go to bed." That was last night. Adam has been great! He went back to work Monday and he returned to classes as well. I knew it would be hard, but with all the extra help it isn't so bad. Right now, he is holding Kei and playing WoW. So he still has time for games and relaxation, lol.

Well, here is what everyone has been asking for. Love you all.

Baby Keiler Update

I'm going in tomorrow morning at 5 to do paper work and be induced! I'm excited and I'm pretty sure I have everything together. I'm having Adam bring the camera and camcorder as well as his laptop so hopefully we'll have pictures up of the newest McNew tomorrow!

To the Hospital...again

So my daredevil child, or rather, my sleep deprived accident on two feet did it again. Yep, again. We were outside playing, and I have to admit our patio is a disgrace, when Cameron slipped on a piece of sidewalk chalk and fell down. He'd been crying since at least we came home from school so I noticed no difference in those tears from any other shed that afternoon. Upon returning inside, he threw himself down on the floor kicking and screaming. I didn't actually realize he was hurt until second timeout in his room. He kept saying, "Mommy hurt you, kiss it better." He then offered his left arm. Once we got him settled down enough we realized he wasn't lifting his arm at all and if we touched it fresh tears and cries ensued. We just took him to the ER. He did okay for the nurse (of course) but when the doctor came in and messed with his arm that bottom lip got to quivering. It was so cute and sad all at once. The doctor said it could be several things: a fracture in his forearm, wrist, or elbow, a compacted something or other in the same place, a sprain, or he dislocated his elbow or wrist. We then had x-rays! He did so much better than the ones we did of his head. By the time that was done this kid was jumping around, leaning on his arm, grabbing for candy, holding Howie and whatever else you can think of in an ER bed that a perfectly fine two year old would do. SIGH... The doctor said he dislocated something, but either in later fits or just being handled he fixed it on his own and that it was just tender. TENDER!!!! Let me tell you! While I'm glad he was okay, I'm so tired of these daredevil stunts that land us in the hospital. I don't freak out about everything, but when your child can't and won't lift his arm something is wrong. Oh, the only reason we took him for x-rays on his head is because both of his eyes turned horribly black. The doctor thought this could be a sign of fracture somewhere on his head. You just have to go have it checked out, but that wasn't an ER visit. It's the principle of the matter. We just started the 2's I should go ahead and sign up for med school, I'll know about everything by the time Cam reaches 3 and I don't even want to think of what he'll get his little brother to do, lol.

update

Last one (maybe). My doctor is trying to get me in next Wednesday or Thursday to have this baby. He said that I'm ready and this puts the baby only about 10 days ahead of his due date. So, hopefully next Monday I'll know the exact time I'm going in. I'll start the medicine and go into labor and have Keiler! 10 fingers and 10 toes and I'm really praying for more red hair, but a healthy baby is our desire.

new car!

Tinted windows were really nice for my fair-headed men.
Cameron really likes the cold air. He wasn't really getting any in the Mazda, especially on really hot days.
It's really pretty, even though I feel like a mom now more than ever, lol.
Oh, I still make everyone else drive. Thank you Aunt Vikki!

Looking at Christmas lights will be a blast this year. Cam can finally see out the windows.

I know, I haven't been up to posting lately so I'm hitting it all at once. We did get a new car! It's a 2005 Kia Sedona. We just love it. I think the boys will both be very comfortable and very safe. It's so nice to have the rear air for my little man. Cam loves the cold air.

pimp my ride?

Well, that was not the intent, but it happened. Adam took the Mazda in for a new tire and to get them all balanced. When they had finished they said that they were sorry for breaking a couple of hubcaps and that they had replaced them. Well.... they sure did! They are a lot more shiny than they look in the pics. I died laughing.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Adam turned 27 just a few days ago. I can't count how many people said, "Gosh, you're getting old." Adam's response, "Yeah, but I'm still sexy." I just want to say how much I love Adam. I'm so glad that I get to celebrate that special day. (Even if it's seeing a stupid movie and eating buffet.) :)

I love hot moms tshirt.
"I'm not trying to be difficult (it just comes naturally)"
Cam eagerly awaiting Daddy's B-Day breakfast Do-nuts!

Oh, what I didn't mention is he got a laptop for his birthday. He's in sr. lvl. classes at school now and he's got some pretty big breaks while he's in Tyler. He'll just do homework while he's there. I am happy he put AIM on there so he could talk to me while he's gone.
