Cam's first hockey game

He was pretty quiet at first, but he got the hang of it pretty quickly.

Kerrigan and Kei

My good friend Rachel brought her little girl over to play for a bit. She is 7 weeks old here and Kei is just about 4 months.

Keiler at 4 months

So I haven't mentioned the little one in a while and figured now would be a good time since he had his 4 month check up last week. He weighed14lbs. 7 ozs. was 25 1/4 in. long. He looked great and the doctor was very happy I am still breastfeeding. He is on cereal and fruits and veggies at night now. He wasn't quite making it through the night, but he still nurses 6 times a day. He is holding his head and upper body up well and even tries to pull him self into sitting when he is leaning on us. He can roll over from back to front, but hasn't quite mastered the front to back roll yet. I check on him all the time at night now. Cameron was just the opposite; he'd roll from front to back. He is also sleeping soundly through the night most nights; we do have a few here and there where he feels like he should be held. He goes to bed about 8:30 and gets up around 7:30. We are having a difficult time trying to have consistent naps in the day. Sometimes its two good ones about 10 and 2 or one chunky one about noon. Here are a few Kei pics.

First night to do cereal. He does pretty good. Loves squash and carrots and isn't crazy about bananas or sweet potatoes.
I love this picture! He's just so different from when he was born. He's getting to be such a pretty boy.
Teddy bear jammies and teddy bear house shoes.
We tried to get some photos to do a post but I never found one I loved, this was the best, but neither of the boys were cooperating. You can see Kei's chubby little legs though! :D
Cam really is a super big brother. He loves to talk to Kei and make him squeal-which he does quite often now-and smile.
This is Kei with Rachel's daughter Kerrigan. She is a couple month younger than Kei.
He's really gonna hate me for making him wear that silly hat someday, but it's so cute!
We are finally in the exersaucer. He loves it. Cam is loving it again. As a matter of fact he got stuck in it today.
He is really quite a vocal and active child. He is always moving when he's awake and even when he's not. I'll check on him frequently throughout the night and he's always somewhere else in his bed.
He rolled over!

Dallas Trip

This was Cams first carousel ride. He wasn't too sure at first, but he really liked it the longer we were on. This was at the mall near Heather and Josh's.

They also had this neat projector game and mat. Cam played it forever.
He even got to play hockey.

The guys in their Cowboy gear from Uncle Josh and Aunt Heather. They all looked so cute dressed the same.

Poor Kei hasn't had a picture posted in a while. He's growing very fast and very handsome.

Dallas Stars!

We took Cam to his first pro sporting even: Dallas Stars hockey! They played the Detroit Red Wings. We were in the nose bleeds, but we had some nachos, so it was all good. Cam actually just sat there and stared like he was mesmerized or something. He did really good until the 3rd period and he was getting antsy of having to just sit there.

He fell asleep on our way to the game. His first bus ride! We park in the WestEnd and catch a bus to the American Airlines Center. We had some crazy company, and the bus driver even offered to let him color something on the bus. He was a little overwhelmed.
Dallas Stars are coming out to play!
There they are!
He sat there through the first and most of the second like this. He was fascinated by all the activity.
Daddy and his little Star.
Mmmmm....Nachos! You can also see he got another goose egg. Right before we headed out of the house to go to Dallas, he falls and busts his head. He tripped and hit the entertainment center in the living room. He was fine though. He was worried we wouldn't go stay with Heather and Josh and go see the Stars.
You can see just how high up we were.
The Zamboni was neat.

Even from the highest row I still got some good action shots. This one has Mike Modano. "Go Mo!"
Even though they lost it was still a pretty good game. It didn't seem to bother Cam any. He keeps asking to go to Dallas again.
We walk back to the WestEnd from AAC instead of taking the bus.
Uncle Josh, Aunt Heather and Cam sittin on Daddy
I even got to get in on a shot! The WestEnd is pretty neat. We always go to Hoffbrau to eat after Stars games.
Hehe...this kinda felt like a paparazzi shot.
We went to the car to wait for Aunt Vikki, Aunt Kayla, Aunt Natalie and Keiler to meet us for dinner.
Cam took some self photos while we waited.

New Years Eve Sugar Rush

So here's the rush. He was doing stuff like this all night. I could have kept on taping, but I try and keep these sweet and short and he was certainly no where near ready to wind down.

Happy New Year

Well, now that we are 2 weeks into the new year, I hope that all of you are finding it so far successful for change. While I myself usually do not do resolutions (seems far to committal, lol) I do try and set small goals for myself and this year for my family. First is to just to be a little more organized in everything I do. I set up some chore charts for daily and weekly of things that I think can be accomplished in that time. I'm not a neat freak, but a little organization I think would help me out a ton. Second is to develop a stable schedule for the boys. Yes we have a routine, but I'm finding between nursing the baby and making sure Cam goes down early enough I was just attempting to get little goals accomplished throughout the day. If Cam goes down for nap to late it's near impossible to get him into bed. So I'm trying to make sure both are in bed and asleep by 9:30 if not sooner and up no later than 8:00. This has been hard for me because from about 5 at night until they are asleep I have enough time to cram a bit of dinner in my mouth, but Cam seems to have fewer mini meltdowns during the day. I'm also trying to make myself get into bed sooner and keep the chores at a minimum then. It is usually the time of day when I have no distractions to get housework done and see Adam, but sleep deprivation and a two year old are just not a pleasant couple. I'm learning (as is everyone in the house, sorry Aunt Vikki, is) to live with a little messiness.

Well, on to the fun. We decided to let Cam stay up for New Years this year. It was in part to the craziness of the holiday season and also because I wasn't sure he'd stay in bed when all of us were still up. It was me, Adam, Auntie Vikki and Kayla. So we had nachos for dinner and let Cam have some Dr. Pepper too. He really liked this. For desert we indulged in some treats from Christmas and had some eggnog. I just put some in Cam's milk. I wasn't sure he'd actually be able to handle it, but the sugar seemed to have given him the boost needed to stay up until midnight and throw one of the biggest fits ever when going to bed. I took some pictures and a video to kind of catalog Cam's first new year so here it is.

MEMO: I'm having a ton of issues getting the pictures up, so I'll keep working on that.

I've got the Joy, Where?

I forgot I even took this video a month ago. Cam has learned to sing I've got the Joy Down in my Heart. If you can bear with my singing, it's totally worth it.

Christmas

In all the craziness I lost my camera, so these aren't by any means all the photos. I have to hijack some from Aunt Vikki's camera. Hehe. We had so much fun. Of course Aunt Vikki, my mom and dad, all my sisters, my brother in law, Josh and my Memaw and Grandad were here to celebrate Christmas. Adam and I got a Wii for ourselves earlier and Santa brought the boys a two seater wagon. I about freaked out when I couldn't find one here. Fortunately Heather and Josh picked one up in Dallas before they came. I'm starting to see the perks in my sister moving there. Anyways, Cam's been really big into music so he got a drumpad from Grammy and Pops, a keyboard and a Sesame Street guitar from Grandma and Grandpa. He also got the ABC zoo that I've been dying for him to have since he was born almost. He also got his first Bible, well two actually. We've already read it through. He likes the "Jesus stories" as he calls them. All the guys got Dallas Cowboy gear from Josh and Heather cause they are gonna go all the way this year apparently. There was so much stuff and it's so late I can't even think about half of what was given or received. Adam gave me some coupons for massages, nights off, pedicure and manicure as well as all the stuff to do them with. They were so thoughtful and funny. I'll try and post them.

The boys got a wagon from Santa. Cam said, "I like dis!" It's really neat and fully loaded with some nice amenities: cup holders, seat belts, snack bin under a seat...it's a LUXURY wagon. LOL

In addition to the candy Cam got from Santa in his stocking he got a cool toothbrush that he seemed to have enjoyed.

Stockings are my favorite part about opening presents and I think Cam got a kick out of it too.

Daddy and Kei taking it all in. He crashed fast this morning!

This is Cam's new drum pad. He opened his presents and then would lay on them. He really liked his drums from Grammy and Pops.

I got a nice frame from Oma and Opa for my babies sweet picture!I always get a funny pair of underwear for Adam's stocking, but I had help from Heather and Josh this year. Thanks guys! Too funny!

Cameron really liked his wagon and I can't wait to load up the boys for walks here soon. Cam even did his stocking IN the wagon. He got : a Mickey Mouse CD, hot cocoa, a cocoa mug, polar bear PEZ, and some gummy life savers. Now you know why we got the toothbrush.

Opa helping Cam with his candy.

Auntie Vikki with Kei.

Grammy was saying something interesting it appears. :D

Kay painted this for me. I love polar bears! That and apparently I needed some decor for my walls in my room.

Well, that's all for now. I lost my camera in the hubbub so I will try and get the other shots from Aunt Vikki's camera. I have some interesting stuff for my New Years' post when I get around to it!

Christmas Eve

This is the first year that Cam sort of gets the concept of Santa and Christmas. We were celebrating Jesus' birthday by reading Cam's new favorite book The Christmas Star. We had lots of fun this Christmas Eve!

Daddy and Keiler playing on the floor.

I tried very hard to get some cute Christmas shots for you, but it's always something as those of you with children surely understand. This was one of my favorites even though Kei is screaming his head off.

Auntie Vikki holding Kei while we sprinkled Reindeer food in the yard for Rudolph. Grammy was our photographer that night. Thanks Grammy!

I know it is blurry, but Cam stole one of Santa's cookies and it was just too cute! "I eat Santa cookie."

I really enjoyed being Santa! Milk and homemade cookies.

I try to get some cute shots and this one just came out beautifully.
We were trying to keep Cam busy. With all the family here he was a bit....two.

Cam had a blast leaving "Reindeer food" in the yard for Rudolph and his pals! Good shot Grammy!

I got to do Reindeer food this year, next year I'll do Santa's cookies.

Daddy did Santa's cookies this year. We figured we'd switch it out so we get to do everything with the boys!
